December 2008

Wow - it's been a while since my last post. December has been a busy month, but a very fun month. We celebrated Christmas with different families for 6 days. Molly had fun playing with her cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents and re-meeting some extended family members as well.

Everything related to Christmas that Molly sees (Santa, Christmas tree, snowman), she says "ho ho". Kind of funny that everything related to Christmas is a "ho ho". Hee Hee.

We weren't sure how excited Molly would be with opening presents, but she dove right in. Every present she opened, she would then say "open"... as she wanted us to open the toy so she could play with it.

Molly loves playing in her kitchen, reading her new books (she has really gotten into Dora, Pooh, and Elmo lately), and sitting her "Molly" chair. This is a child size cushiony chair with her name on it (SO CUTE!). We have determined that Molly is definitely no baby anymore. Time just flies with little ones.

We wish you a wonderful New Year!

17 Months!

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We were able to spend time with Ryan's family on Thursday and my family on Saturday, so it was great fun! Molly was such a good girl - she was so excited to play with Kenzie, Brady, and Brent and to give kisses to Tanner. Having cousins is so much fun!

Molly is 17 months old today - we can hardly believe it! She is starting to really talk and repeat what we say. Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks....

Miss Independent

Molly is now into feeding herself. Here she is eating yogurt from the container. She does pretty good, however, yogurt is usually everywhere (including in her hair) when she is done!

Molly and Daddy have discovered a fun game - put Molly in a clothes basket with a pillow, blanket, and lots of babies, and Daddy pulls her all around the living room. She loves it!

Too Cute

I just have to post this picture. Molly found her sunglasses in a drawer and insisted on wearing them around the house for a while. She didn't even pull them off!

Happy Halloween!

Have fun trick or treating tonight! We will be on the road to stay in Des Moines tonight with our friends Tad and Sheila. We are then off to Kansas City for Tanner's baptism. Should be a fun weekend! Here are a few pictures of Molly from the week.

Molly goes into the bathroom, points at her toothbrush, and says "teeth". She then insists on sitting on the toilet to brush.

We attempted to have family pictures taken last night. Unfortunately, Molly was scared of the camera. Hopefully we got a few good ones! Once the big camera was put away, she was all smiles for me!

Weekend in Des Moines

Molly and I went to Des Moines this past weekend with Grammy Shelley, Aunt Amy, and cousins Kenzie and Brady. Here is a picture from the zoo - it was trick or treat day!

Molly is learning how to say "cheese" and smile. I think she could use some help with keeping her eyes open! :)

Molly is 15 months old today! It is a beautiful Fall day here, so we spent some time outside this afternoon. Here a few pictures of her - she loves to be outside!

September 2008

Molly will be 15 months in 2 days. She sure is lots of fun these days. She loves to play with her babies, build with her blocks, and read. I should say watch us build with her blocks then she knocks it over. Molly get very excited when she knows she does something good or right as she will clap her hands and give us a big smile! What a cutie...

Luke, Amy, and Colin Lesyshen came over - Colin and Molly had fun "playing" together. Colin is almost 11 months.

Do you like my pigtails? Yes, her hair is long enough - crazy!

Molly now attends a music class called Kindermusik. She takes the class with her friend, Cooper Reynolds. Molly's favorite part is going in the middle of the circle to dance - she definitely isn't bashful!

Playing Outside

Here are a few pictures of Molly playing outside. She had fun helping Daddy spray the hose and blow bubbles! I'm so big! I climbed on the step and sat down all by myself!

It's Been a While!

Sorry it's been so long since the last post. I don't know where the time has gone! Molly has gone back to daycare and just loves it! She is the youngest in her classroom and is learning lots and having a blast! Some days when I go to pick her up, she tries to run from me because she doesn't want to go home. It makes me feel good to know that she is happy where she is when I am at work.

Molly definitely has a mind of her own. When she wants someone to go with her somewhere, she will grab you by the finger and pull you with her. She is understanding so many thing - in and out, go here, go there, etc. She is having a hard time with "no" and "don't touch", though!

In the past couple of weeks, Molly has gotten all four one-year molars. That was rough! Here is a picture of her during a week when three of them came in - all she wanted to do was be held and lay. Poor baby!

She has also learned what "snack" means. She knows she has to sit on a rug in the kitchen to have a snack. So cute!
Molly and I made another trip to Clear Lake in August. It's a good thing we found a life jacket Molly likes, because she loves being in the boat!

Here are a few recent pictures. Enjoy!

Molly is 13 Months

Molly was 13 months this week and is definitely starting to get into everything...and I mean EVERYTHING! Big news for the week - no more bottles! She has been without a bottle for 7 days now and is doing great! It was a much easier transition than expected. Now it's just big girl food and drink.
We've been spending a lot of evenings at the pool - we pretty much have the pool to ourselves. It is great! Here are a few pictures from Sunday.

Baby Tanner

Molly's Aunt Allie and Uncle Andy in Kansas City added Tanner Drew to their family on July 10. We went to visit him this week. What a handsome little guy! Here are a few pictures - Molly wasn't quite sure what to think of him at first but was giving him kisses by the end of our trip!

Molly's Surgery

Molly had a couple of minor surgeries today: tubes in her ears and tear ducts probed. She did a great job and was very brave girl. Here is a picture from before surgery this morning.
